Collection: Racks & Enclosures

Your Rack Is the Foundation Everything Else Sits In

A server rack is easy to underestimate. It looks like a metal frame — how complicated can it be? The answer, for AI infrastructure, is: considerably more complicated than most teams expect. GPU servers are heavier than standard enterprise servers. They're deeper. They generate more heat. They require more power cabling. They need more cable management space. And they often need to be moved, reconfigured, or expanded in ways that a poorly designed rack enclosure makes unnecessarily difficult.

DVUN's Racks & Enclosures collection is built around the specific physical requirements of high-density AI infrastructure. Every rack we stock is evaluated for its load capacity, internal depth, cable management provisions, airflow design, and compatibility with the PDUs, cooling systems, and cable management accessories that complete a professional AI rack build.

Selecting the Right Rack: A Practical Guide

  • Load Capacity: Standard enterprise racks are rated for 700–1000kg. A fully populated GPU rack with 10x 4U servers, networking, and PDUs can easily exceed 1200kg. Our AI-grade racks are rated for 1500–2000kg — built for the actual weight of high-density GPU deployments.
  • Internal Depth: Standard 1000mm depth racks are insufficient for many GPU servers, which can be 900–950mm deep plus cable management. Our 1100mm and 1200mm depth enclosures provide the clearance these servers require without forcing cable compression.
  • U Height: 42U is the standard for most deployments. 45U and 48U options provide additional capacity for high-density builds where every unit of rack space matters.
  • Side Panel Configuration: Perforated side panels for open-frame airflow environments; solid panels with brush cable entry for contained hot-aisle/cold-aisle deployments.
  • Rail Kit Compatibility: Universal rail kits that support the major GPU server brands without requiring custom rail orders for each server model.
  • Caster & Leveling Feet: Heavy-duty casters rated for the full loaded weight of the rack, with locking mechanisms and leveling feet for stable installation on uneven floors.

Open Frame vs. Enclosed: Which Is Right for Your Environment?

Open Frame Racks provide maximum airflow flexibility and are the right choice for environments with precision cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH units) that manage airflow at the room level. They're also easier to cable and maintain. Our open frame options are available in 2-post and 4-post configurations.

Enclosed Cabinets with perforated front and rear doors are the right choice for hot-aisle/cold-aisle containment environments, where the enclosure itself is part of the airflow management system. They also provide physical security for the equipment inside. Pair with our Airflow accessories for blanking panels and containment systems, and our PDUs & Power for integrated power management.

The Right Rack Makes Every Future Decision Easier

A rack that's properly sized for your hardware, your power infrastructure, and your cooling environment makes every subsequent infrastructure decision simpler. A rack that's undersized or mismatched creates constraints that compound over time. DVUN's Racks & Enclosures collection gives you the options to get this foundational decision right.
