Quality Standards

Quality That AI Infrastructure Demands

AI infrastructure is not a place for shortcuts. A failed GPU in a training cluster costs hours of compute time and potentially corrupts a training run. A counterfeit NIC in a production inference cluster can cause intermittent failures that are nearly impossible to diagnose. DVUN's quality standards exist because the organizations we serve cannot afford hardware that doesn't perform as specified.

Sourcing Standards

  • Authorized channels only — DVUN sources from authorized distributors and OEM partners as the primary channel. Secondary market sourcing is used only through verified, audited partners with documented provenance.
  • Provenance documentation — For significant components, DVUN maintains documentation of the sourcing chain from manufacturer to customer.
  • No unverified gray market — We do not source from unverified brokers or channels where authenticity cannot be confirmed, regardless of price or availability pressure.
  • Partner auditing — DVUN's sourcing partners are evaluated on quality track record, not just price and availability.

Verification Standards

  • Authenticity verification — High-value components are verified for authenticity before shipment to customers. This includes serial number verification, firmware version checks, and physical inspection where applicable.
  • Functional testing — Where feasible, components are functionally tested before shipment. GPU servers are powered on and validated. Networking equipment is tested for basic functionality.
  • Compatibility verification — For complex configurations, DVUN verifies component compatibility before shipment to prevent deployment failures.
  • Packaging integrity — All hardware is inspected for packaging integrity before shipment. Damaged packaging is documented and addressed before delivery.

Delivery Standards

  • Appropriate packaging — AI hardware is packaged for the rigors of international shipping. GPU servers and sensitive components receive additional protection beyond standard packaging.
  • Shipment documentation — All shipments include complete documentation: packing lists, serial numbers, warranty information, and customs documentation where required.
  • Delivery verification — DVUN follows up on all shipments to confirm delivery and address any issues immediately.

Post-Delivery Standards

  • DOA response — Dead-on-arrival hardware is treated as a priority. DVUN initiates replacement immediately upon confirmed DOA.
  • Warranty management — DVUN manages warranty claims on behalf of customers, acting as a single point of contact with manufacturers.
  • Issue documentation — Quality issues are documented and fed back into our sourcing and verification processes to prevent recurrence.
